The Optimist T-Shirt Designs

The Optimist is your neighborhood haunt filled with coffee, tea and locally baked goods. It’s the perfect place to meet up with a friend or work from anywhere.

The owners came to me wanting a fresh batch of custom shirts for their coffee house.

I started with the question, “What does The Optimist mean to me?” Why would I go there over other cool places in Raleigh?

For one, it’s the interior. The Optimist has a vintage feel, from the globe lights, tile flooring and jewel-toned velvet booths.

I created three concepts: one vintage cartoon coffee cup, one drawing of the inside and one line drawing of a coffee cup and french press.

Although these are all different styles and may not coordinate, they all reflect the feeling of sipping something warm and chatting with a friend.
